Course Introduction

The MoP® Foundation course introduces delegates to all change activities including what is included in the portfolio, what is the impact of MoP® on business as usual and organisation’s strategic objectives and what risks are being faced while implementing MoP®. The course provides an overview of the portfolio management techniques, practices and cycles, approaches to categorisation, prioritizing, balancing and planning and responsibilities of the main portfolio management. By the completion of the course, the delegates will be able to manage projects and programmes consistently and efficiently, maximise the return on investment, positively contribute to Management of portfolio initiatives and support the portfolio investment committees.

Course Content

The MoP® Foundation training course is provided by Datrix Training where you will be taught by one of our experienced instructors. 

The three day MoP® Foundation course is planned for delegates who want to develop MoP® understanding. The course introduces delegates to the principles, documents, principles, roles, responsibilities and organisational context within which portfolio management operates. The MoP® Foundation course equips the delegates with a clear understanding of Portfolio Management and how it is used in practice. During the three day training program, the delegates will discover the concept of portfolio management, why it is needed, principles upon which MoP® is based, differences between portfolios and portfolio management, governance approach and roles to consider when implementing MoP® and Portfolio Definition and Delivery cycles when using MoP®. 

MoP® Foundation Examination

The Management of Portfolio Foundation exam will be conducted on the last day of the training program. The exam verifies the knowledge of the delegates regarding the course content.  The details of the exam as follows:

  • 40 minutes long
  • Closed book exam
  • Multiple choice questions
  • Total 50 questions
  • 50% pass mark
