About Warrington

Warrington is the most significant urban area in the Cheshire, United Kingdom. It is situated on the shores of River Mersey. The distance of Warrington from east of Liverpool and west of Manchester is 20 miles. In 2016, the city has 208,800 people approximately. Romans has established the Warrington. But the new town was founded by the Saxons. In the English Civil War, this town was the fulcrum. Earl of Derby and Oliver Cromwell' troops stayed at the nearby ancient city centre.

During 18th century, the industry revolution of Warrington took place at the same time of city’s urbanisation. During 1968, Warrington appointed as an innovative town.

Economy

Warrington has a largest detergent factory, i.e. Unilever factory. Warrington is the hometown of ESR technology. Moreover, the primary management of the region is Warrington Council and Warrington & Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The first shopping centre inaugurated in 1974, i.e. Golden Square. This Golden Square shopping centre has various shops and there are approximately 135 shops. This shopping centre is close to the Primark store, Debenhams store and the new bus stations. Warrington retails from the great shopping centre in North West England. Warrington selected as place for first market by IKEA.

In the Leisure, there are various shopping malls and an indoor market in the city. A snooker club, ten-pin bowling and a golf club is located in Warrington. In Stretton, Apple Jack's Farm theme park is established and Gulliver's World theme park is found in the ancient hall of the town.

In the Developments, over the next thirty years, this city is the significant industrial region to be formed in stages. The Omega Development Site is nearby the M62 motorway at the edge of the north.

Transport

This city has the two railway stations, i.e. Warrington Bank Quay Railway Station and Warrington Central Railway Station. Bank Quay station situated in the south-west of the city centre. This station maximum occupied all the time. Another is the Central station, i.e. located in the northeast of the town centre. Trans Pennine Express has controlled the Warrington Central Railway Station. Warrington has the three motorways such as M6, M56 and M62 in the halfway within the Manchester and Liverpool airports. This city also consists of the primary road just as A57, A56, A50 and A49. The East Lancashire Road found at the edge of the northern of the city centre. This road is also renowned as A580.
