Smoking
All Datrix venues are no smoking. Delegates are welcome to smoke in the designated areas outside the building.
Parking
There are several multi storey car parks located close to the training centre. The car parks are not free to use and cost in the region of £8 – £10 per day. The price of parking is not included in price of your course.
Directions
Nearest Airport 25 mins
Outside the main Edinburgh airport terminal there is a rank for Airport Taxis. These are not 'Black Cabs', but private licences at standard rates. The journey should typically cost £16.
Nearest Rail Station 5 mins walk
Waverley Station. From the station, walk 150 metres down North Bridge towards the High Street. Turn left onto the High Street. St Mary's Street is about 150 metres on the right hand side. The training centre is on the left hand side of St Mary's Street.
From the South on A1
From the A1, or South East, take the City Bypass, and exit 'City Centre' at the Dalkeith junction. (From A68, after Dalkeith go across the bypass, not onto it). Coming in on Old Dalkeith Road, you will approach a roundabout at the Cameron Toll Shopping Centre (railway bridge over). Take the 3rd exit (under the bridge), effectively going straight ahead, into St.Leonards. Stay on this road past the Commonwealth Pool and Scottish Widows former HQ (brown building) on your right until down the Pleasance you meet the 4-way junction (lights) of Pleasance, St Mary's St (ahead), Cowgate (left) and Holyrood Rd (right). Turn right into Holyrood Rd and the 'Scot Park' car park is just down the road on the right. The training centre is half way up St Mary's St on the right.
From the West M8/M9
From the M8, approaching the Hermiston Gait junction take 'City Bypass North' to the major 'Gogar' roundabout then follow 'City Centre' signs; From the M9 follow 'Edinburgh City Centre' signs, through the underpass to the Maybury. Come in past PC World (on right) and the Zoo (left) - stay off the Bus Lanes! Shortly after passing Haymarket Station on your right, go straight ahead at the next junctions, soon passing a Church (tall steeple) on the left and lots of shops both sides (incl Habitat on left). Turn right at the next junction (Fraser's store left, Caledonian Hotel right) into Lothian Road. Turn left at the 3rd set of lights into Bread Street, then go straight ahead down West Port through the Grassmarket. Continue straight ahead along Cowgate to the lights at the junction of Pleasance / St Marys St (Travelodge hotel on the left). Go straight ahead into Holyrood Road and park on the right in the 'Scot Park' multi-storey car park. The training centre is half way up St Mary's St on the right.
From the North on A90
Follow 'City Centre' signs from the A90/Forth Road Bridge via Cramond and Barnton, approaching the City via Blackhall (bear right at the junction at the Kwik-Fit garage). After crossing Dean Bridge (approaching West End) stay on Queensferry St as it bears left at Fraser's store and Ryan's Bar, into Charlotte Square. Take right lane along the Square and turn right into S.Charlotte St (turn into left lane), right into Princes Street and immediately left into Lothian Road. Turn left at the 3rd set of lights into Bread Street, then go straight ahead down West Port through the Grassmarket. Continue straight ahead along Cowgate to the lights at the junction of Pleasance / St Marys St (Travelodge hotel on the left). Go straight ahead into Holyrood Road and park on the right in the 'Scot Park' multi-storey car park. The training centre is half way up St Mary's St on the right.
